SAfm’s Forum@8 invited Khaya Dlanga to their studio to discuss his recently launched memoir and incredible career, which started when he refused to accept that he had not been accepted to advertising school, after having travelled by taxi to Cape Town from one of the smallest villages in the Eastern Cape.

The question, “Who is Khaya Dlanga?”, kicks of the interview, which was also filmed and streamed live on SABC News. Dlanga laughs heartily when asked this question, saying he never knows how to answer how he got famous. “I am the guy who everybody asks, ‘Who is Khaya Dlanga?’ I am that guy. Nobody knows what I do, so it’s difficult.”

He goes on to say: “I think there is no one answer. There are many different things that are about me.”
