Zintle Makeng Talks to The Youngsters About Their Individual Contributions

BecomingIt Feels Wrong to Laugh, But....In My Arrogant OpinionTake it from MeSouth Africa: A Long Walk to a Free Ride

The Youngsters series authors, Anele Mdoda, Nik Rabinowitz, Shaka Sisulu, Khaya Dlanga and Danny K spoke to Zintle Makeng from The New Age. In the following article, The Youngsters reveal why they chose to write their individual books and Makeng gives a preview of what to expect from each author:

Shaka Sisulu can be considered political royalty. The grandson of political veteran, Walter Sisulu he’s not going to let himself ride the free wave that comes with his lineage. Actively carving out his own path he is the CEO of the now super-successful NGO, Cheesekids, and stand-in radio DJ at talk radio, 702.

Shaka is the first to daringly proclaim that he was in fact planning on writing a book. “I was in the process of writing a novel of sorts when I was suddenly approached to be a part of the series. Instinctively I agreed to it.”

Unlike the rest of the personalities in this series, Shaka can’t quite claim to have celebrity status, but he is fast proving to be a leader for many through various charity projects and philanthropic work.
