Report: The Youngsters Stir Things Up at the Series Launch

It Feels Wrong to Laugh, But....Take it from MeIn My Arrogant OpinionBecomingSouth Africa: A Long Walk to a Free Ride

The authors of the Youngsters series, Anele Mdoda, Nik Rabinowitz, Shaka Sisulu, Khaya Dlanga and Danny K recently took part in a ‘speed dating’ event with members of the media. This gave reporters a chance to have one-on-one talks with each of the authors. Kulani Nkuna from The Citizen was there to cover the event:

Gather around children: today’s reading, in honour of Youth Month, comes from Anele Mdoda, Khaya Dlanga and Shaka Sisulu, in the form of The Youngsters, a “series of pocket books that feature prominent young South African voices worth listening to”.

It’s indicative of the times and the society we live in – these new authors were assembled in a room at the plush Protea Fire & Ice Hotel for a “speed dating” engagement with members of the media.
