Video: Emma Mashinini Describes Her Role in the South African Labour Movement
In March last year, VNS/Afravision interviewed South African Trade Unionist Emma Mashinini as part of their collective documentation of the struggles that defined South Africa in the eighties.
In the video interview, Mashinini speaks about the early role she played in the South African labour movement. Mashinini’s autobiography, Strikes Have Followed Me All My Life, was reissued by Picador Africa in May this year:
