Emma Chen Talks About Elizabeth Zimmerman – the “Julia Child of Knitting”

Foodie diva Emma Chen, restaurant owner and author of Emperor Can Wait, spoke to the Sunday Times about her current read – a book by master knitter Elizabeth Zimmerman called Knitting Without Tears:

If anybody had told me that I would become hooked on knitting, I would have given out a cynical laugh. Me? My domestic science teacher told me that my fingers were as clumsy as my toes. Earlier this year I was given a pair of expensive mohair mittens – I loved them but I was allergic to mohair, so I decided to knit a pair in acrylic.
